RESIDENCE
This project marked the beginning of my exploration of my relationship with space and identity. While designing the space, I focused on existing in a void by abstracting myself from external influences. This void was infinite and unified, yet a dwelling has boundaries. To make the space feel infinite, I designed impact-action elements as if part of the walls and floor, using mirrors to expand spatial perception and create depth through reflections.
Materials such as raw concrete, corten, mirrors, one-way semi-transparent mirrors, and wood emphasized the raw, minimalist nature of the space. Everything was designed for a single person, reflecting my inner exploration.
Throughout the design process, I incorporated feedback from my project advisor, and the project was later featured in their article. This conceptual project was my first where I focused on abstract concepts before moving to the implementation phase. It offered a unique experience in connecting with the user and supporting the process of self-discovery.
